About

The people behind the shows

Our three auditoriums are run by a full-time auditorium manager and staffed by industry professionals, with help from trained Walled Lake students. The same crew works school events all year, so they know every line set, light and cable in the building.

Auditorium Manager

Meet your production manager

You're in great hands

Every rental and performance in our three auditoriums is produced with Matt Weber, an award-winning auditorium manager and a recognized leader in technical production.

Matt runs all three Walled Lake performing arts centers and teaches students every part of technical production, from lighting and sound to rigging and stage management. He trained in Wayne State University's BFA Technical Theatre program and has spent his career designing and producing shows well beyond the district.

He's active in the community, volunteering his time and talents, and is a lighting and scenic designer through his own company, MCW Designs. He has also worked as a technician and design consultant at Cedar Point for more than two decades.

Ask anyone in Walled Lake and you'll hear the same thing: Matt is a great human who's always taking on roles far outside his job description to make things happen for students, staff and the community. Bring him your show and he'll treat it like his own.

For students

Join the tech crew

Walled Lake students learn lighting, sound, rigging and stage management by working real events alongside our staff. Many go on to paid crew positions.
