Accessibility
Our standard
Like the rest of the district's websites, this site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What we've done
- Every page works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "skip to content" link.
- Text and buttons meet AA color contrast, and text resizes without breaking the layout.
- Photos and logos have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Pages use real headings, lists and labeled form fields.
- Motion is kept to a minimum and turns off if your device asks for reduced motion.
- The site works on phones and tablets, and when you zoom in.
Known limitations
The Auditorium Use Form and TR-1 technical rider are available as an accessible online application, which includes the full rules. Some older PDFs, including the seating charts and stage drawings, are scans or drawings that a screen reader can't fully read. If you need one in another format, email matthewweber@wlcsd.org or call (248) 956-3064 and we'll send the information another way.
At the venues
Each auditorium has wheelchair locations and transfer seats, shown on its seating chart. Let the event's box office know if you need accessible seating, or ask the auditorium manager about a specific need before your event.
Report a problem
If something on this site is hard to use, tell Matthew Weber at matthewweber@wlcsd.org with the page and what happened. You can also contact the district's web accessibility coordinator, listed in the Walled Lake Consolidated Schools accessibility statement, which also explains how to file a formal complaint.
